It’s rare to see such an amalgamation of different materials, surfaces and finishes come together to create a harmonious look, a completely individual composition, comprising light Shaker-style cabinetry, alongside rich timber tones, topped with black granite and natural stone. It was necessary to incorporate existing plumbing, walls and windows into the new design, as well as a number of contrasting surfaces. It became an opportunity to realise a completely individual look, placing the cooktop between the back and front benches of the U-shaped kitchen allowed for more space from the original design footprint, allowing space for the sort after walk-in pantry, stacked ovens and the luxury of a wine fridge. Thoughtful positioning of appliances even made it possible for the funky coffee machine to take pride of place.
